Dr.Visser stumbled off the chair, panic in his eyes. The mumbles of the waking giant echoed in the room, and as the doctor scrambled towards the door, he heard the wailing of the metal stretcher as the giant lifted himself. The Scrake ripped the monitoring pads and wires off in a rage, that's when the sound started. A low whirring increasing to a snarling roar as the chainsaw's blade started up. Dr. Visser ran out of the laboratory, sealing the door with his access code. Sparks and screeches came from behind as the chainsaw tore the steel door to shreds. A sharp pain spread through Dr.Visser's chest as he over exerted his lungs, the adrenaline giving him that extra boost.
He scrambled through the door of his office at the end of the hallway, slamming the door behind him. He crawled to his desk and reached for his phone. The dialing tone dragged on until a voice answered.
"What do you want?" A female voice retorted
"Please, Dr.Smeets! Help me!" Dr. Visser wept
"You see the severity of our work now? Things like this happen too often Frank!" She shouted
"Yes, yes I see, now send someone to help me!" He screamed as footsteps echoed outside
"Fine, I'll send some one to he-" The line went dead.
Whimpering to himself, he crawled to the dark corner. A thud sounded from the other side of the office door, sending serveral splinters flying across the room. The whirring of blades started again, and tore the door to shreds. The scrake entered the room, smoke billowing from the running chainsaw, murderous intent clear in its eyes. A pool of blood seeped from a mutilated corpse of a guard outside, the red liquid flowing and staining his beige carpet. He slowed his breathing down, trying to remain hidden from the monster that loomed only ten feet away. Another guard crept up behind the scrake and opened fire at his head, plunging the saw into the man's stomach stopped that quickly.
Dr.Visser pulled the panel behind him and exited through the little exit. Sliding the wooden panel back into place, he ran down the emergency corridor as quick as his lungs could let him. When he entered the office of Dr.Smeets, he was not pleased. Drenched in sweat, his face was that of a moody child. He was still shaking with fear, he had never been on the recieving end of an attack. A dry smile lay on the face of Dr.Smeets. She was looking at the scrake from the security monitors, it was a success of course but very dangerous. This was the type of thing she hoped would happen to shake up her boss and show him that they're research might not be in the best interest of anyone.
After Dr.Visser stopped wheezing, he straightened up and dusted off his tailor-made suit. Over Dr.smeets' shoulder he could see the firing of guns at the monster, the Scrake didnt stop tearing through the soldier's bodies, eventually a head shot made it drop to it's knees. Only three soldiers remained, they put harnesses around the giant, securing him to the ground and injected him with the serum the laboratories used for freezing the specimens until they needed them. Wiping the beads of sweat from his forehead, Dr.Visser turned to Dr.Smeets.
"He would be useful in military battlefronts" Dr.Visser muttered, head sunk in embarrasment at his ordeal.
"We have to stop, Frank. This can't go on anymore" His female counterpart said coldly, folding her arms.
"I know, it is ver- Dr.Clamely!" Dr.Visser exclaimed as he saw his boss enter the laboratory, the founder of the organisation had increased in bulk since he last saw him. His hair was now shoulder length, and dark bags hung around his eyes.
"That was a good show you put on there, Frank" Clamely smirked, "I wish for all of the specimens to be transported to the London facility, these laboratories will be no longer needed"
"But what about our jobs?" Dr.Smeets gasped
"You have done well, but I no longer require any of your work, Thank you for working for Horzine Biotech, before you finish, make sure the specimens are sent" Clamely said, face emotionless as he turned around and exited the room.
Stunned, the two scientists did as they were told. All the paper work was finished, and they cleared out their desks. Outside, Dr. Clamely muttered to himself as he entered his helicopter. "Don't worry my children, it will begin soon"
